Migrants Rush Border – Trump Stands Firm, 2457
Synopsis: Migrants from the Caravan rushed the US border at Tijuana, unsuccessfully attempting to cross yesterday. The U.S. Customs and Border Patrol fired tear gas at the migrants who tried to rush through at the massive vehicular entry point. It got so chaotic that about 50 migrants broke through and got into the U.S. and were promptly arrested. Officials had to close the crossing for 6 hours as a result. By the time the crossing was reopened, traffic heading northwards into the U.S. was backed up for more than 6 hours. This morning, Mexican officials, seeing that Trump would not budge, announced that it will no longer allow the migrants to threaten the vehicular crossing into the U.S.
